Blackboard Link Issues

Hello UIW Community,

Users are experiencing issues accessing Blackboard via the blackboard.uiwtx.edu link.

Workaround: Navigate to Blackboard via Cardinal Apps.

  • Log into Cardinal Apps
  • Click the BlackBoard Learn icon
  • This will automatically log you into the site

Workaround 2: Use drop down at the Bottom of the blackboard.uiwtx.edu site

  • Change the drop down from “Sign in with Third Party Account”
  • Select “Log in with Cardinal Apps”

Direct links will slowly start to not work properly, as Cardinal Apps is the preferred method to get to the site.

If you are getting an error while heading through Cardinal Apps, please head to the Cardinal Apps homepage at https://apps.uiw.edu and click on your name at the top of the page > Sign out. Sign back in and try again.

Zoom App Not Launching

Hello UIW Community,

Users are experiencing issues with the Zoom App not launching when joining/starting a meeting.

Workaround: Use Zoom via the web browser.

  • Log into Cardinal Apps at apps.uiw.edu
  • Click on the ZOOM icon
  • Click on Join a Meeting
  • Enter your Meeting ID and Click Join
  • If clicking on “Open zoom.us” does not work, click on the blue “start from your browser” link at the bottom of the page.

Our team is looking into the issue and hopes to have a resolution in place as soon as possible.

Outlook Webmail Outage

Hello UIW Community,

Users are experiencing issues accessing their email through the web client. This is a known issue and is being worked on by Microsoft.

Workaround:

  • The Outlook Desktop Client as well as the Mobile App are not experiencing any issues and can be used to access your email in the meantime.

Service Update: MyWord Blank Page

Users logging in to MyWord may see a Blank white screen below the MyWord Banner.

Workaround:

  • Click the Suggestion Box tab at the top of the MyWord Banner. This will show the MyWord Launchpad on the left side of the screen. From there users can click the desired links.

SERVICE UPDATE: MyWord Portal Possible Login Issues

MyWord is experiencing some intermittent login issues.

The error message states “Login failed” or  “Password is incorrect”.

Workarounds for this are:

  • Using another web browser OR
  • Clearing the history and cache of the browser you are currently using.
    • For assistance in clearing the cache in various browsers, contact the Help Desk for a quick walkthrough.

A password reset is not required for this to be resolved. The above steps have been tested and proven successful.
