SERVICE INTERRUPTION: myWord Portal

The portal vendor will perform maintenance tasks on Friday, June 1st between 1:00am – 5:00am CST.

The new Password Manager solution will be implemented.

During the maintenance window the portal will intermittently be unavailable.

 

SERVICE INTERRUPTION: School of Osteopathic Medicine Network Distruption

AT&T is currently experiencing a service issue with their network circuit connecting to the School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM).  As a result, SOM users will not have access to any network connected resources including their phones or the internet while at the SOM campus.  A network administrator is working with AT&T to troubleshoot the problem.

Users at other UIW locations ARE NOT impacted by this disruption.

Enterprise Applications will be performing scheduled maintenance this evening from 6:30PM-11:30PM.

 The following production change items will be included in the maintenance window:

  • Banner 9 Human Resources/Payroll/Position Control (Required for Banner 9)
  • Finance Self-Service Banner: My Finance Query & My Requisition (Required for Banner 9)

During the maintenance window the following systems will not be available:

  • Banner INB/SSB (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
  • BDM (Banner Document Management)
  • myWord Portal (Links to Banner within the portal)

*Training for Faculty and Staff will begin the week of June 4 on Finance Forms, My Finance Query, My Requisition, and Student Banner 9 administrative pages (Registration, Admissions etc.).

**Financial agreement (pending resolution with Ellucian) is delaying the June 1 go live for Banner9 student registration; Target date is July 1, if not sooner.

A new SSL certificate will be deployed for the website.

During the maintenance window the portal will intermittently be unavailable.

 

Blackboard Service Upgrade

The Blackboard system will be updated by the vendor to a newer version Bb Learn 9.1 Q2 2018 Release, between the hours of 5: 00 PM CST, Friday, May 18 and 5:00 AM CST, Saturday, May 19. During this maintenance, UIW users may experience an interruption to their production environment services. The vendor’s support staff will make all efforts to keep service disruption to a minimum.
